Tenders are invited for Increasing Sustainability and Inclusion of Guinea-Bissau-s Coastal Nature-Based Tourism Value Chain. Catalyzing the Blue Economy in Guinea-Bissau: Increasing Sustainability and Inclusion of Guinea-Bissau-s Coastal Nature-Based Tourism Value Chain The World Bank is seeking a consulting firm with core tourism expertise to design a sustainability and an inclusion program (value chain linkages) focused on the Bijagos Archipelago in Guinea-Bissua. This will improve the blue economy prospects of Guinea-Bissau by better understanding the status and enhancing the prospects of environmental sustainability and value chain linkages in GB-s coastal tourism economy. The activities are in support of the WBG West Africa Coastal Areas Resilient Investment Project (WACA). The WACA program supports countries- efforts to improve the management of their shared coastal resources and reduce the natural and human-made risks affecting coastal communities. It boosts the transfer of knowledge, fosters political dialogue among countries, and mobilizes public and private finance to tackle coastal erosion, flooding, pollution and climate change adaptation. The WACA project in Guinea-Bissau (GB) will in part finance sustainability and inclusion measures to improve and develop its coastal tourism sector. This assignment will utilize PROBLUE funding to support the design of two programs that will then be implemented through the WACA project.
