  • General Procurement Notice for Acquisition of Goods, Works and Related Services and Consulting Services for Bissau Road Corridor Improvement Project - Dakar - Phase 1 - Development of the Farim-Tanaff-Sandinieri Road The Government of the Republic of Guinea Bissau has obtained financing in the amount of USD 15,800,000 in the form of a loan from the Islamic Development Bank to finance the Bissau - Dakar road corridor improvement project - phase 1 - road development Farim Tanaff-Sandinieri and intends to use part of this financing to make payments for the acquisition of goods, works and related services and consulting services required for this project. This project will be jointly financed by the African Development Bank. The project is structured around activities divided into the following four (4) components: 1. Road and bridge development 2. Integrated facilities 3. Trade facilitation. 4. Project management. The Borrower requested and obtained from the Islamic Development Bank, the approval of anticipated actions with a view to procurement. The project comprises three categories of procurement: (i) works; (ii) goods and (iii) consulting services. The modalities of the various procurements under the project are detailed in the following paragraphs with regard to procurements partially financed by the IDB. It is : - Works: · The development works of the Senegal-Dungal-Farim border road section (16 km) will be procured by open international competitive bidding limited to member countries (AOI/PM) . - Goods: · Computer equipment including furniture for the executing body and the vehicle for the executing body will be acquired by consultation of suppliers. - Services: · The control and supervision of the development and asphalting works of the Senegal-Dungal-Farim border road section (16 km) will be acquired on the basis of shortlists of firms from member countries and by the selection method based on quality. and the cost (SFQC/PM) . · The procurement of the services of individual consultants for procurement (technical assistance) will be done on the basis of a shortlist of individual consultants and according to the Bank's procedures for the recruitment of individual consultants. Procurements financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be carried out in accordance with the Guidelines for the Procurement of Goods, Works and Related Services under Projects Financed by the Islamic Development Bank (current edition) and are open to all eligible bidders, as defined in these Guidelines. Procurement of consultancy services will be carried out in accordance with the Guidelines for the Procurement of Consultant Services for Projects Financed by the Islamic Development Bank (current edition). Specific procurement notices for procurements to be made by International Competitive Bidding (ICB) or International Competitive Bidding reserved for member countries (ICB/PM) and calls for expressions of interest for consultancy services will be published as they become available, on the IsDB website, Ministry website and in the Nô Pintcha newspaper. The pre-qualification of suppliers and companies is not planned for the markets.
